Privacy Policy
This page explains what DreamDrive collects through this website, why we collect it, and who sees it.
What each form collects
- Vehicle registration: your name and email, the car's make and model, and whatever else that event asks for, such as your mobile, suburb and state, the car's year and colour, your Instagram handle, your club or crew, and how you heard about us.
- Submit a dream: your name and contact details, your relationship to the child, the child's first name and age, the car they dream about, and what you choose to tell us about them. If you are not the child's parent or guardian, their contact details too.
- Enquiries: your name, email and message, plus what that kind of enquiry needs, such as your organisation, your outlet and deadline, or when you are free.
- Newsletter: your email address, and when you confirmed it.
Why we collect it
To review registrations, consider nominations, reply to enquiries, and send the newsletter you asked for.
Children's information
- We ask for a child's first name and age, never a surname or date of birth, and never medical or health information on the form.
- Submissions can be opened only by the DreamDrive owners.
- No child's details ever appear in an email.
- Nothing is shared or published without permission. A child appears in a film or post only with a separate, written yes from their parent or guardian.
The Instagram feed
The feed on this site shows posts from DreamDrive's own Instagram account, copied to our own storage so the site does not depend on Instagram. It collects nothing from you.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which do not use cookies, to understand how the site is used and how fast it loads.
A few display settings, such as whether you paused a film, stay in your browser for the length of your visit and are never sent to us.
Who else handles it
This website runs on Vercel, in Sydney. What you send through a form is stored in a Neon database, also in Sydney.
Emails from this site, including the newsletter, are sent through Resend, which may handle your email address outside Australia.
Keeping it safe
Everything you send travels over an encrypted connection. It is stored where only DreamDrive's own team can reach it, after signing in.
A child's details can be opened only by the DreamDrive owners, and never appear in an email or a log.
Keeping and deleting it
You can ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or its deletion at any time.
If something is not right
Tell us first, and we will put it right.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
